ENGINE BAY
CLEANING
PITTSBURGH

Degreased, cleaned, and dressed — an engine bay that looks cared for. $50 added to any detail, or $100 as a standalone visit. Done in your driveway anywhere in Pittsburgh.

The Part of the Car
Everyone Forgets

Pop the hood on most cars and you'll find years of dust, road grime, leaf litter, and oil film coating everything. Nobody sees it day to day — until a mechanic does, or a buyer does, or you do, every time you top off the washer fluid.

A clean engine bay isn't about vanity. It makes leaks visible before they become problems, helps a mechanic work faster (and charge you less time), and adds real perceived value when you're selling the car. A buyer who opens a spotless hood assumes the whole car was cared for — because it usually was.

"An engine bay tells the truth about how a car was treated. Make yours tell the right story."

The job is done carefully — sensitive components are protected, no high-pressure water blasted into electronics. Degrease, agitate, rinse gently, then dress the plastics and hoses so everything looks factory-fresh.

  • Safe process — electronics and sensitive parts covered first
  • Degreaser applied and agitated by hand, panel by panel
  • Gentle rinse — no high-pressure water near electronics
  • Plastics, covers, and hoses dressed to a clean factory finish
  • Helps spot oil and coolant leaks early
  • Adds real perceived value before selling or trading in
  • $50 as an add-on to any detail — best value
  • $100 standalone if it's the only thing you need

WHAT A CLEAN
ENGINE BAY GETS YOU

🔍

Leaks Show Early

On a clean engine, a fresh oil or coolant leak is visible immediately. On a dirty one, it hides in years of grime until it becomes an expensive repair.

💰

Better Resale Value

Buyers and dealers judge the whole car by what's under the hood. A spotless bay says "this car was maintained" louder than any service record.

🔧

Easier Maintenance

Mechanics work faster on a clean engine — and you'll actually want to check fluids when you're not reaching past layers of grime to do it.

🛡️

Safe Process

Battery, fuse box, alternator, and air intake get covered before any product or water. No pressure washing into electronics — ever.

🧴

Degreased by Hand

Degreaser is worked in with brushes panel by panel, then rinsed gently. Baked-on oil film and road grime lift away without harsh blasting.

Dressed to Finish

Plastic covers, hoses, and trim get a non-greasy dressing for that deep, factory-fresh look — clean, not shiny-wet.

HOW IT WORKS

01

Protect

Battery terminals, fuse box, alternator, and air intake get covered before anything else. Cool engine only — never hot.

02

Degrease

Degreaser is applied and worked in by hand with brushes — panel by panel, around hoses and covers, where grime actually builds.

03

Gentle Rinse

Low-pressure rinse carries the lifted grime away. No pressure washer blasting into electrical components, ever.

04

Dress & Finish

Once dry, plastics and hoses get a non-greasy dressing. The result is a clean, factory look — not a wet, oily shine.

The Difference

WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE

Engine bay before and after cleaning — dusty grime-covered engine compartment transformed to a clean, dressed factory finish
Engine Bay Cleaning
Before & After

From Grime to Factory-Fresh

The before shot is what most engine bays look like after a few years of normal driving: a layer of dust and oil film over every cover, hose, and reservoir. Nothing is broken — it just looks neglected, and it hides anything that might actually be leaking.

The after is the same bay once it has been degreased, rinsed, and dressed. Every plastic cover reads clean, the metal shows, and if a leak ever starts, you will see it the day it happens — not a year later at the mechanic.

This is the standard we work to on every engine bay — yours included.

ENGINE BAY FAQ

Done wrong — yes, it can. That is why we never blast a pressure washer into an engine bay. Sensitive components (battery, fuse box, alternator, intake) are covered first, the degreaser does the heavy lifting, and the rinse is low-pressure and controlled. Modern engine bays are built to handle rain and road spray; a careful professional clean is far gentler than a highway downpour.

Three practical reasons: leaks become visible early instead of hiding in grime; mechanics diagnose and work faster on a clean engine; and resale value — a buyer who opens a clean hood trusts the whole car more. It is one of the cheapest things you can do before selling a vehicle.

Yes — we only work on a cool engine. If you have just driven, we will simply start with another part of your detail first and come back to the bay once it has cooled down. For a standalone visit, just try not to drive the car within an hour or so of the appointment.

Simple math: the add-on price ($50) applies when we are already at your driveway doing a detail. The standalone price ($100) covers a dedicated trip just for the engine bay. If you are thinking about a detail anyway, bundling is the better deal.

About 45–60 minutes for a typical bay. Heavily oil-soaked engines or off-road trucks caked in mud can take longer — we will tell you upfront if yours falls into that category, before any work starts.
